Assessment Scorer Math (Remote – Temporary Project Work)
Great Opportunity for Temporary Test Scorers
NWEA, a division of HMH would like to invite you to experience our 2024 test scoring season.
Please carefully review the information below and confirm if you would be available for the duration of the project before accepting. Note: This invite is being sent to more people than needed and the project will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
Dates: Approximate dates: Sep 10, 2024 - Oct 11, 2024
Shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Central Standard Time (staggered start times depending on time zone)
Location: Remote
Pay rate: $17.00/hour
Requirements:
- Educational Experience in any of the following subjects: Math
- 4-year degree
- Mon - Fri, 8-hour days
- Home office equipment and secure space required
- Basic computer skills
Job Description:
Looking for qualified applicants who can understand and use a rubric to score open-ended student responses in elementary/intermediate Mathematics.
If hired, meeting invitations, links for scoring material, and instructions for training will be sent via email. Once training is complete,.
Because the responses are trained by item/item type and then scored, it is essential that you plan to attend the duration of the scoring day. Should you need to miss for any reason, you will be unable to score.
Please note:
In order to successfully score remotely, you will need to have an internet connection and a computer that meets the minimum system & browser requirements.
System Requirements:
Windows 7 or newer (8.1, 10) OR Mac OS X 10.6+ OR Chromebook ChromeOS v:52+
Browser Requirements:
- Chrome browser is recommended, but Firefox works as well, as does Safari for Mac users.
- Internet Explorer/Edge should not be used; they are not compatible with our ScorePoint platform & can cause issues viewing the response images.
- If you only have Internet Explorer/Edge on your home computer, you can safely download Chrome for free here: https://www.google.com/chrome/
- Important: We may be available for some technology troubleshooting, but your ability to work & score this project ultimately comes down to your computer skills and equipment management.
